The Castle is an interesting monument for its history and its architecture, but also for the artistic treasure that it guards: inside it, in fact, there is the Pinacoteca del Castello Sforzesco, that keeps a rich collection of paintings, among which works of Filippo Lippi, Antonello da Messina, Andrea Mantegna, Correggio, Tiepolo and the last statue by Michelangelo, the Rondanini Pietà; but in the spaces of the Castle there are also the Museum of Prehistory, the Egyptian Museum, the Museum of ancient art, the Museum of Furniture, the interesting Museum of the musical instruments and other collections.
The Castle is surrounded by the Sempione park, that can be admired walking on the Rivellino del Santo Spirito, that is a excursion between the roofs and the passages on the walls of the castle.
